Forward Deployment Engineers does not have your best interest in mind

A forward deployment engineer (FDE) does NOT have the best interest in your business. In fact, at a strategic level, the FDEs objectives are completely misaligned with you. You want to improve your profit margin and the FDE want to deploy his product.

An independent FDE will be better but there is still a misalignment. For many of the processes, the best is still to maintain them as manual or maybe even remove them. To remove a process is not in the interest of any FDE.

So who shall you work with then?

Work with process or operations experts and if you decide that certain AI tools are the best for you. Source it properly and work only with the FDE for the tactical implementation.
